Brad and Bhagwan at Detour Jazz Festival
Detour Jazz Festival with the Eric Byrd Trio and Brother Ray Band
Most of you know Brad and I work together making the world a better place through music – one lesson at a time. But did you know that we actually play together too? As members of the Eric Byrd Trio: Brother Ray Band, we perform classic Ray Charles hits with a few other guys who dig the legendary musician as much as we do.
If you like jazz and blues, come check us out at Detour Winery on September 2. Despite the location, this is a great event for the whole family. In fact, kids get in free! So come, unwind, enjoy some live music, and end the summer with us. We hope to see you there!
Because music matters,
Bhagwan

Why I work well with kids?
I believe that music should always be fun and so should learning music. My lessons are all about the essentials of the instrument and being a musician. The approach is how to enjoy practicing as well as performing, and I make sure that kids have a good time at my lessons.

Why I work well with kids?
Having being taught music from a very young age, I can relate to kids and understand that they gravitate more towards enthusiasm, positivity and overall just a fun time. Music is a passion of mine and just like i used to enjoy my lessons as a kid, I would like to see kids enjoy themselves while learning music from me. I bring patience, a good attitude and a sense of humor and hope to make kids genuinely want to practice their instrument and become fine young musicians.

Why I work well with kids?
I work well with kids because I started learning an instrument at a very young age myself, so I am able to put myself in their shoes. My teacher showed a great deal of patience and sensitivity to my learning style and knew how to make it fun and engaging, so I strive to do that with my students. I think it’s important to be continuously encouraging and positive with kids, and show them how rewarding playing music can be. I truly believe it’s my responsibility to share the passion I have as a musician with my students.
