Why I work well with kids?
Having being taught music from a very young age, I can relate to kids and understand that they gravitate more towards enthusiasm, positivity and overall just a fun time. Music is a passion of mine and just like i used to enjoy my lessons as a kid, I would like to see kids enjoy themselves while learning music from me. I bring patience, a good attitude and a sense of humor and hope to make kids genuinely want to practice their instrument and become fine young musicians.

Bio
Location of Birth: Maryland
I started learning music at the age of six on the piano. After years of studying the piano, I picked up the guitar at the age of thirteen and began teaching myself how to play the guitar with the theory I learned from my piano lessons. I gravitated towards blues and roots music. During my high school years I gave a couple of my fellow classmates lessons and that pushed me towards pursuing a career in music. After graduating from high school I signed up to be a music major at Montgomery College. I chose classical guitar as my primary instrument and got the opportunity to work with one the best guitarists in the DC area, Phil Mathieu. Over the years I’ve performed with my band at bars, clubs, and solo at honors recitals, scholarship recitals and with college ensembles. I’m currently pursuing a certificate in classical guitar and a Masters in Music Performance.

Hobbies:
I spend most of my time practicing and preparing for performances, and college recitals. I also spend time playing billiards at the Rockville pool hall, go to the movies, read, go swimming (during summer of course), workout, and check out local band at bars and clubs in the area.
