I grew up in Bowie, Maryland and attended great schools as a Talented and Gifted student. I started taking piano lessons at the age of 10 and was classically trained until I graduated high school. I performed in many recitals through my two piano teachers and received several awards and recognitions. After high school I performed on the piano at Open Mic’s regularly, in particular one called The Year of the Rabbit. During that time I was writing my own songs and within 5 years I recorded 10 songs on a CD. I recently got married in 2009 and had a beautiful boy in 2010. I have been teaching piano since 2002. I love playing songs I remember and learning new songs, like the ones you hear on the radio. I also enjoy teaching students how to play songs on the radio too, or any piece of music whether it is classical or not.
