Why I work well with kids?
I have worked with many children in various age groups in my previous professions. As a sneaker salesman, and a merchandise sales man for a traveling musical, I often worked hand in hand with children to help them find and purchase things that fulfilled their desires, as well as their parents requirements. I also have much experience tutoring and teaching piano to my younger siblings and cousins.

So far, in my musical life, I have been a part of a Hip Hop group, been a solo musician, produced music for artists, and I’ve been a part of a folk / rock / hip hop band. As a solo artist / hip hop producer, I have released one album which is available on iTunes as “Cody Valentine; The Fall of Valentine”. I have performed at many clubs and bars in the area such as “The New Deal Cafe” in Greenbelt, MD and “The Blue Banana” in Washington DC.
I was first trained in piano in my high school’s music department, getting top grades (A+) in Intro to Keyboarding, Keyboarding, and Advanced Keyboarding. While taking these classes, I routinely helped the teacher with assisting students that needed further guidance with their playing. I continued into college, taking Music Theory I and II, and receiving A’s in both. I also spent a year taking private piano lessons with a classically trained pianist.
I have experience playing the Bass Guitar, Piano, multiple drum machines, and singing in live settings. I have also taught bass guitar, beginner’s piano, and MPC drum machines. I am currently working on a follow up to my last solo recording.
