New Piano Teacher for DC, PG County
Eric P. is our newest addition to our roster. We are very pleased to have added him to our team. Eric is friendly, smart and personable. There is zero doubt in our minds that he will excel in his new position. He is the music director at a local church and performs regularly in the DC area. Here is some more info on Eric.
Eric comes with 20+ years of musical experience. Classically trained at the Bringe School of Music in St. Petersburg, FL (6 years), and then later continuing musical studies at University of Florida where he majored in Neurobiological Sciences and minored in Music Performance, where among other accomplishments, he was invited to perform a classical music concert in Prague, Russia, under the guidance of Professor Boaz Sharon. Eric won numerous competitions at the state and national level in high school and college, including 1st Place in the Florida Music Teachers Assocation Annual Piano Concerto Competition (Kabalevsky Concerto in D major), 1st place in the Florida Orchestra Young Artists Piano Competition, and 1st Place in the Jack and Jill of America Regional Talent Competition (encompassed states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee).
For the last few years, Eric has directed and provided musical accompaniment for three churches in the Washington, DC area (total of 5 different choirs), and has also played at various events in the area, including weddings, receptions, art galleries, and other cultural endeavors.

New Guitar and Drum Instructor in DC and Maryland
We’re really happy to be working with the newest addition to our roster. Jesse C. teaches both drums and guitar in DC and Maryland. He is a smart and friendly young man who recently moved to DC from Connecticut and we are confident in his ability to connect and engage his students. Jesse not only has a Masters in Music and Technology, but also spent 8 weeks in a rural village in Ghana where he taught music. As both a drummer and guitarist, he certainly benefited from this cultural experience!
Here is a little background on Jesse:
I graduated from Connecticut College in May 2009 with a B.A. in Music
& Technology. My major consisted of various music theory courses such
as tonal theory, jazz harmony, 20th century theory, and composition,
in addition to private lessons in classical guitar. I was also a
member of the student guitar ensemble, where I rehearsed solo and
ensemble pieces and performed in recitals throughout the semester. In
addition to my classical instruction in college, I’ve also received
private instruction in electric guitar styles such as blues, rock, and
jazz since the summer of 2006. My favorite styles to play are blues,
rock, and jazz. The summer before my senior year in college, I
traveled to Ghana for a college funded internship, where I taught
music for eight weeks at a school in a rural town. It was an
incredibly rewarding experience which has motivated me to pursue
teaching as a career.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, I now reside in the Maryland/Washington D.C. area. I started singing publicly around the age of 5 and playing piano at 9. From there I toured overseas in Europe and across the United States. I have learned various styles: Classical, Gospel, Country,R&B, Pop/Rock,Musical Theatre and more. In addition to just singing them myself I can effectively teach others the how to sing as well. In lessons my job is to help you improve and help you get to where you want to go. So whether they are just starting out or if they have been in lessons for years I look forward to helping YOU thrive. I promise to provide a curriculum that is tailored specifically to you and your needs to help further your musical growth.
I work well with kids because I try to teach them on their level. In lessons its really all about the child and what they would like to learn. Whether that’s learning a song to sing for an upcoming graduation, learning essential repertoire to get into the music school of your dreams, or if you have always wanted to learn piano but just never had time before. I am committed to helping them learn and grow.

LaShone is our newest addition to our family of piano teachers. She primarily will teach in Bowie, Upper Marlboro, Capitol Heights and Lanham. She works great with kids and here is why:
