As music educator I do not believe in the concept of “teaching.” I cannot teach anyone anything! All I can do is show a student a concept and give them the neccesary tools to develop that skill themselves. I have learned that music as an art is a process that moves at it’s own pace, it is not a science. I allow all of my students to work at their own pace and encourage them to challenge any concept I present. At the end of the day, music is supposed to be fun!
